We’ve got a position available for an assistant team manager: liabilities

Purpose of position:

Assisting liabilities team manager to ensure continued improvement of customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Attending to allocation of new claim
  • Assisting with liability payments and authorisation thereof
  • Updating daily payment stats and data
  • Attend to payment escalation responses
  • Assist with complaints
  • Assist with escalation mails
  • Ad hoc assistance with authorising and finalising claims
  • Assisting team manager with team to achieve targets by working proactively with the team
  • Dealing with client queries and complaints professionally and in line with company values
  • Assist team manager with escalations to manage relationship with other insurers
  • Providing weekly feedback to legal managers
  • Assisting with Coaching and training of staff
  • Handling and monitoring performance-related issues as well as disciplinary matters

Requirements:

  • Matric (essential)
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in short term insurance claims or legal
  • Liabilities experience
  • Management experience (advantageous)
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
