We’ve got a position available for a motion designer
Company: Porcupine Union
Purpose of position:
Bring our brand to life through slick animations and captivating video content. Work within the buzzing online marketing team, a collective of creatives. Collaborate with designers, copywriters and digital strategists to craft compelling video content and animations that elevate our brand and captivate our audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Design and produce 2D animations, motion graphics and short/long-form videos
- Develop storyboards and visual concepts that align with our tone, brand and campaign
- Collaborate closely with our marketing and social media teams on creative concepts
- Take ownership of video content across all stages of production, pre- to post-production
- Work across diverse platforms: digital ads, social campaigns, websites, internal videos, and Connected TV
- Stay ahead of animation and motion design trends, and integrate emerging techniques into your work
- Deliver assets optimised for various platforms, ensuring technical excellence and visual impact
- Assist with static and motion-based creative content development as needed
Requirements:
- Matric (Senior Certificate)
- A relevant tertiary qualification in film, multimedia, animation, or visual communication
- At least 2 years' experience in motion design, animation or video content creation
- A background in the insurance or financial services sector is a strong advantage
Tools & Skills
- Adobe After Effects (expert-level)
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Strong knowledge of post-production workflows: editing, colour grading.
- Understanding of digital, still and motion content capture principles
- Excellent storytelling and visual communication skills
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong time management
