Purpose of position:

Be responsible for managing the lifecycle of all IT assets within the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance in asset usage. Provide oversight of procurement, allocation, tracking, and disposal/return of IT hardware, while maintaining alignment with company standard operations policies and best practices.

Responsibilities:

Hardware Lifecycle Management

This covers the entire journey of an IT asset from the moment it's acquired until it's retired

Reporting and Documentation

This involves creating a paper trail for all asset-related activities to ensure accountability and provide data for decision-making

Collaboration and Support

This highlights the cross-functional nature of the role and the importance of communication

Asset Disposal and Decommissioning

This section covers the responsible end-of-life process for IT equipment

Procurement and Receiving

This covers the start of the asset lifecycle

Auditing and Reconciliation

This is a quality control function to maintain the integrity of the asset inventory

Requirements:

• Matric (essential)
• IT/Software Qualification (advantageous)
• Minimum 2-3 years IT Assessment experience
• Comfortable with using start of the asset lifecycle
