We’ve got a position available for a DevOps Engineer

Company: Porcupine Union

Purpose of position:

Help set up and manage Azure cloud systems, automate deployments, monitor performance, and support teams to keep systems secure and reliable

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up, configuring, and maintaining Azure cloud services and resources
  • Support the implementation of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate builds, tests, and deployments
  • Work closely with development teams to manage source control, build automation, and release management using tools like Azure DevOps
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, identify potential issues, and assist in troubleshooting and resolution
  • Participate in the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and ARM templates
  • Collaborate with senior DevOps engineers and system architects to improve system reliability and security
  • Learn and adopt best practices for cloud infrastructure security, monitoring, and alerting.

Required Skills

  • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant experience in a related field
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud platform and services
  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD concepts and DevOps tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy)
  • Understanding of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM Templates)
  • Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with version control systems like Azure Repos
  • Certification in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
  • Certification in Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) will be a bonus
